You know you’ve reached a certain level of mommy hood when your excitement is a new washing machine! A bigger, and more water efficient model at that! It detects the setting of my load? Takes less soap? And get this, when I was shopping for my new machine, I actually saw one washed AND dried in one machine! That will be all mine in the future!!
Thank you universe for the washing machine technology! You never realize who good you have it with the laundry until your machine goes down. My final spin option was busted, and I literally had to wring out each item of clothing before placing it in the dryer, then dump the pail of excess water into the
sink. My son actually said these words: “Mom, if we are going to continue with this washing machine, we are going to need a wringer”. My thoughts went straight to the early 1900’s and the word”twine” for some reason. Is that what direction my life had turned? I am all into the natural, very humble life style. In fact, people have told me many times I am even borderline “hippy-ish”. However, there are certain things I would rather not spend my time doing, and that would be wringing out clothes and using “twine”. Again, I thank modern technology for the washing machine and it surely was one of my best Christmas presents ever!
