Eating that is! It’s been exactly one year since I have changed my life around and focused on clean eating. According to Fitness Magazine clean eating “is about eating whole foods, or “real” foods — those that are un- or minimally processed, refined, and handled, making them as close to their natural form as possible.” All these years I thought I was eating healthy, until I realized, I was not. The body needs essential nutrients, and they are just not found in the average American’s food supply anymore. Hunger is an epidemic that plagues millions of children worldwide. We have all seen images of children in developing countries that do not have enough to eat. They may appear very skinny, and in other cases have bloated bellies. These things are caused by the lack of calories and protein in the diet. But, there is a new form of hunger on the rise, mainly in developed countries like the United States, where food is plentiful. It is referred to as hidden hunger.
